Take A Number
A satirical first-person horror shooter. File your complaint. Wait. Then file it again, in several calibers. Adults only.
The ISV KHARON misjumped into orbit around TX-0417, a rogue black hole. Accretion drag lowers the orbit and tidal stress tears at the hull. The ship AI VESTA wakes you, the systems engineer, early. The other four crew stay in stasis.
Work the ship through its real Unix-style network, KharonOS: repair firmware, recover files, dig through crew accounts for codes and override doors. Budget power, plot an escape burn with real orbital mechanics and survive until it fires.
Near the horizon, time folds. The ECHO walks the corridors: a copy of you from a loop that failed. Hide in lockers, throw flares, seal doors and blind it with your flashlight.
10 endings, runs of 15–25 minutes, and the game remembers every loop. Your endings and loops are saved to the cloud when you are logged in.
Controls: WASD move, Shift run, mouse look, E use / hide, F flashlight, G flare, Tab deck map, Esc pause. Needs WebGL2 and a mouse; headphones recommended.
