Pencil Pusher
A comic-book shooter for adults: a mild-mannered accountant, one pencil too many and three very bad days – precinct, courthouse, psych ward. Plus an online duel and three co-op missions.
It is always after midnight in Halcyon Bay. The streets are still wet from the rain, every neon sign is mirrored in the asphalt, and the crews are waiting. You start with one cheap car, a little cash and no name.
Race from behind the wheel: glowing gauges in the colour you pick, a hood that reflects every street light, live rear-view and side mirrors, the cabin lit by the lamps you pass, g-forces in your head and a field of view that stretches with speed and nitrous.
Five districts: the glass towers of Neon Mile, the cranes and containers of Ironworks Harbor, the elevated Skyline Expressway with its long tunnel, the lantern-lit alleys of the Lantern Quarter and the half-mile Foundry Strip.
Five race types: Circuit, Sprint, Knockout, Drag (manual gears - shift on the light) and Drift. Slipstream behind rivals, near misses past traffic and drifts refill your nitrous; a perfect launch gives you a head start.
Six street cars from a featherweight hatchback to an all-wheel-drive twin-turbo king, each with its own synthesized engine voice. Buy engine, turbo, nitrous, tyre, suspension, transmission, weight and brake upgrades, then paint it, fit rims, underglow, spoilers, body kits, window tint, a carbon hood and your own gauge colour.
Career "The Ladder": six levels through all five districts, each win opens the next one, and the crown waits at the top. Keyboard, mouse look and gamepad supported; graphics scale from integrated laptop chips to big desktop cards.
