Multi Chess

Chess for beginners and regular players alike, right in your browser – no download, no ads, no tracking.

Play the computer: Stockfish 19 runs locally in your browser with 8 levels from "just learned the rules" to full strength, an optional clock, takebacks and hints. The coach rates every move from best to blunder, shows the better move, highlights pieces in danger and reviews the game afterwards with accuracy, an evaluation graph and opening names.

Play people: one-click quick pairing and open public games in the lobby, private invite links for friends and correspondence matches by e-mail. Besides standard chess there are Chess960, King of the Hill, Three-check, Antichess, Atomic, Horde and Racing Kings. Per game you choose chat, quick messages only or no messages; chat is moderated automatically.

Your progress here: every computer level you beat counts 12.5 % – beat all eight levels, up to Stockfish at full strength, to complete Multi Chess. Click "Connect Multi Chess" on this page once per browser and play while you are logged in here – your progress then shows up on this platform by itself.

No account needed to start. A free Multi Chess account adds a reserved username, invite links, e-mail matches and a game history with statistics.

Multi Chess opens on its own website, chess.bugfish.eu, in a new tab. Accounts there are separate from your account on this platform.
