Open a picture – or drop it here, or paste it with Ctrl+V. Choose the poster size and your paper, print, cut and glue: the sheets overlap exactly, with crop marks and glue strips.
Around every seam the same strip of the picture is printed on both sheets. The upper sheet is cut at the seam and laid onto the glue strip of the lower one – where its edge lands, the picture underneath continues exactly. Its own picture also runs a few millimetres beyond the cut (the cut tolerance), so a slightly crooked cut never leaves a white line.
Four A4 sheets have the area of A2 – but printers leave a white margin, and the sheets must overlap to be glued. So 2 × 2 A4 gives a poster of about 88–93 % of A2. For a full A2, choose the size A2 (it needs more sheets), or let the suggestions shrink it to fewer sheets. With a borderless printer (margins 0) and butt joints, 4 × A4 makes exactly A2.
Poster shows the seams (orange), glue strips (blue) and the paper of every sheet. Sheets shows each page exactly as it is printed – cut lines in red, the printer margins hatched. Click a sheet for its details – there you can leave it out of the next print, or print only that one again. Result simulates the finished poster: every sheet cut and glued onto its neighbours – no mark or label may show there.
