1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Germany

E-mail: requests@bugfish.eu

2. Overview

This website is a simple redirect page. It forwards visitors to bugfishtm.github.io after ten seconds and provides this privacy policy and the Impressum.

This website has no user accounts, contact forms, comments, analytics, tracking, or advertising. It loads no external fonts, scripts, images, or other resources from third parties; everything is served from our own server. The only personal data processed is the technical data your browser automatically sends when it requests a page (section 3), and any data you send us yourself when you contact us (section 6).

3. Server log files

Each time a page of this website is requested, the web server automatically records the following information in log files:

Purpose: delivering the website to your browser, ensuring the security and stability of the server, and detecting and defending against attacks and misuse.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free operation of this website.

Retention: log files are deleted automatically after 30 days at the latest. Data whose further retention is necessary as evidence of a specific security incident is kept until that incident has been fully resolved.

Providing this data is neither legally nor contractually required. Without it, however, the website cannot be delivered to your browser.

4. Cookies and storage on your device

This website does not set any cookies and does not store or read any information on your device. The countdown on the start page is a small local script that transmits no data and stores nothing.

5. Hosting

This website runs on a virtual server that we administer ourselves. The virtual server is provided by:

i-make.media – Magnus Brühl
Wilhelm-Elfes-Straße 46
41065 Mönchengladbach
Germany
E-mail: info@i-make-media.de

i-make.media operates the host system on which our virtual server runs and acts as a processor on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR. It has no access to the data on our server beyond what is technically unavoidable for operating the host system.

The underlying physical hardware is rented by i-make.media from Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Fürth, Germany, which acts as a sub-processor and provides only the data centre and physical server. All servers are located in Germany.

Apart from these infrastructure providers, we do not pass personal data on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so. We do not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA.

6. Contact by e-mail or phone

If you contact us by e-mail or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, phone number, content of your message) solely to handle your request.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries addressed to us; where your request relates to the conclusion or performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Retention: your data is deleted once your request has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations require us to keep it longer.

7. Redirect to an external website

After the countdown ends, or when you click “Go there now”, your browser is forwarded to bugfishtm.github.io. That website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.

From that moment on, your browser connects directly to GitHub's servers, which receive your IP address and other technical data. This may involve a transfer of data to the USA. This processing takes place on the target website and is outside the scope of this privacy policy; the privacy information of the target website and the GitHub General Privacy Statement apply.

If you do not want to be forwarded, close or leave this page before the countdown ends. No data is sent to GitHub before the redirect takes place.

8. Your rights

Regarding your personal data, you have the following rights under the GDPR:

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in section 1.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for us is:

Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW)
Kavalleriestraße 2–4
40213 Düsseldorf
Germany
www.ldi.nrw.de

9. Right to object

Where we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21(1) GDPR).

If you object, we will no longer process the data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims. To object, an informal message to the contact details in section 1 is sufficient.

10. Automated decision-making

No automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy if the website or legal requirements change. The version published here always applies.
